has provided Professional Surveying Services to the Environmental, Transportation and Structural Engineers and Designers in the firm and private, municipal, state and federal clients for over 50 years. We use the latest in field equipment including Sokkia total stations and Topcon RTK GPS system to acquire field data. Sodemann and Associates was the area leader in development of a system utilizing a seamless electronic “field to finish” stream of data for both avoiding data handling errors and facilitating the merging of the field data into our CADD system. The integration of our field equipment and methods with our drafting and design software permits the surveyor to add much of the line work, symbols and annotation to the survey as he collects the data in the field.

Sodemann and Associates is pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board and the Illinois Department of Transportation to provide surveying services. We perform surveys of all types including residential and rural boundary surveys and ALTA / ACSM Land Title Surveys of single lots, full city blocks and 20 acre industrial sites. In addition, we provide topographic site surveys and corridor surveys for water and wastewater treatment plants, water storage and distribution facilities, storm water and sewage collection systems. We also perform topographic surveys for street / highway projects involving land acquisition, right of way and easement surveys, including right of way and easement plats and land development-subdivision surveys. We are experienced in construction layout services and horizontal and vertical control surveys.
