provides structural engineering services to the Illinois Department of Transportation, counties, municipalities, park districts, and private entities throughout Central Illinois. Sodemann and Associates, Inc. is pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) in Highway Structures: Simple and Highway Structures: Typical. Our highway structure design work has involved numerous types of bridges for both local agencies and IDOT, including steel beam girders, multiple box cast-in-place concrete culverts, precast concrete box beams, precast concrete girders, cast-in-place concrete slab and pedestrian structures.

In addition to our highway structure design, we design water treatment and waste water treatment facility structures, including in-ground and above grade tanks, buildings, pump stations, and filters. We also provide forensic engineering services and failure investigations, foundation and building frame design, along with expert testimony. We provide dam and spillway inspections and prepare rehabilitation plans. We’ve also worked with a local company providing them structure design for specialty exhibits placed at sites nationwide.
