Champaign Park District Pipe Line Bike Trail & Pedestrian Bridge

S&A provided the topographic surveying and design engineering services for the proposed bike trail in the Brittany Trails subdivision along the pipeline easement. Coordination with the pipeline company and the Copper Slough Drainage District were important on this project. S&A also provided structural engineering services for a pedestrian bridge crossing the Copper Slough to connect the Windsor Road and Kirby Avenue pedestrian paths. In addition, S&A also provided construction staking services.

  • This project included five miles of reconstruction of a county highway located near Homer Lake. It included replacement of two bridge structures and approximately 40 right-of-way acquisitions. The project required regarding of drainage ditches and relocation of utilities to accommodate the widening. S&A provided topographic and right-of-way surveying, easements and right-of-way acquisition documents, and all design and drafting.
