Village of Thomasboro Waste Water Collection System

The project consists of providing a complete sanitary sewer collection system to the entire developed area of this Village of 1250 people. The project construction of 33,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewers, 16,000 lineal feet of service line, three submersible pump stations and 4.3 miles of 8-inch force main. The Village pumps all flows to Rantoul's wastewater system for treatment. S&A prepared the preliminary engineering report and presented the findings at two public information meetings. We completed the collection system design, final design for the pump stations, specifications, bidding documents and provided assistance in obtaining funding sources. This project was funded by five funding sources: Illinois First, Discretionary legislative grant, IEPA low interest loan, Rural Development grant and DCCA grant. S&A provided construction administration for the system installation which included extensive street reconstruction.
